MUSIC NERDS REJOICE

What lies within the Capitol tower? Frank Sinatra had the most nominations at the first-ever Grammy Awards, but which sole trophy did he walk away with? Where did Jim Morrison and Ray Manzarek meet? How did the Hard Rock Cafe empire get its start? How did Silversun Pickups come up with their name? Where did the likes of NWA and Kendrick Lamar draw inspiration from? How many icons have created within the walls of Village Studios? All these questions and more are probed in the first episode of Spotify's brand new docuseries, Music Happens Here.

With the show, which was created by the streaming service, Live Nation, The Recording Academy and Hilton, music lovers can get an inside look at the creative processes and back-stories of their favorite acts. Obviously, the first episode centers on L.A.'s music history and includes bits on the aforementioned, as well as Fleetwood Mac, Local Natives, Incubus, Mötley Crüe, Guns N Roses and Stone Temple Pilots. And even more of your faves face the camera to tell said stories themselves.

Music Happens Here is actually more than just a show, though; it's an integrated music program that focuses on the powerful intersection of music and travel and provides Hilton Honors members with access to intimate concerts and unique experiences. And corresponding curated playlists (also found exclusively on Spotify) will guide listeners on a walking tour of the featured cities.
