To coincide with U2’s summer tour, Interscope is releasing a 30th anniversary edition of The Joshua Tree on 6/2. Just hearing the words “Joshua Tree is 30 years old” sends millions of Baby Boomers and Gen-Xers into a state of shock, a condition not covered by Trumpcare.
There will be six different editions of the album, the largest of which is a seven-LP or four-CD set. Those set include the original album, a 1987 live recording from Madison Square Garden, remixes of six songs, eight outtakes and seven B-side tracks plus a book of The Edge’s photographs and a folio of eight Anton Corbijn shots from the 1986 photo shoot in the Mojave Desert.
U2’s breakthrough album, Joshua Tree includes “With Or Without You”, “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” and “Where The Streets Have No Name”; they won their first two Grammys for the work.
The Joshua Tree Tour 2017 opens in Vancouver on 5/12.
