UMG's worldwide A&R meetings kick off this week at La Quinta Resort in Palm Springs. For many attendees, the locale is a huge improvement—in both climate and cuisine—from last fall’s meetings in Hampshire, England, which occasioned much griping about the grub and the subsequent firing of the chef at the Four Seasons.
