AZOFF'S ARENA GROUP UNVEILS MEMBERSHIP

Tim Leiweke and Irving Azoff’s Oak View Group unveiled the first 22 charter members of its Arena Alliance, among them The Forum, Madison Square Garden and Chicago’s United Center. It is the first membership alliance of sports/entertainment arenas.

OVG’s goal is to capitalize on its footprint to create new revenue opportunities and operating efficiencies for its members. The group’s members serve 65 million customers annually.

"The Alliance will create a transparency for artists, promoters and other content creators to collaborate and elevate the fan experience, while generating more profitability for artists, buildings and promoters," Azoff said. Leiweke is CEO of Oak View Group, which is backed by Azoff MSG Entertainment.

The charter members of the Arena Alliance are: AT&T Center (San Antonio), Air Canada Center (Toronto), Amalie Arena (Tampa Bay), BB&T Center (Ft. Lauderdale), Bankers Life Fieldhouse (Indianapolis), Chase Center (San Francisco), Consol Energy Center (Pittsburgh), First Niagara Center (Buffalo), The Forum (Los Angeles), Golden1 Credit Union Center (Sacramento), Little Caesars Arena (Detroit), Madison Square Garden (Las Vegas), Madison Square Garden (New York), Pepsi Center (Denver), Philips Arena (Atlanta), Prudential Center (Newark), Quicken Loans Arena (Cleveland), Rogers Arena (Vancouver), Scottrade Center (St. Louis), The United Center (Chicago) Wells Fargo Center (Philadelphia) and Xcel Energy Center (St. Paul).

“As individual independent major-market arenas, we all bring something special and unique to the table,” said Chicago Bulls President and COO Michael Reinsdorf. “But together we will be able to elevate our business and the overall experience for our fans.”
