EARLY READS: LUMINEERS SHINING BRIGHTLY (UPDATE)

Unless something unexpected drops (and that’s always a possibility these days), The Lumineers are lined up to take the #1 spots on both our sales and SPS charts this Friday (4/15)—which also happens to be the IRS filing deadline, but that’s another story. You’ll note that two of the three top debuts are on indie labels, which hasn’t happened in some time. There’s no projection yet for Kanye West, but we hope to have that hole filled soon.

Here’s how things are shaping up one day into the new sales week:

  • Lumineers (Dualtone) 90-100k album, 93-105k SPS
  • Deftones (Reprise) 55-60k, 58-65k
  • Zakk Wylde (eOne) 19-22k album, 20-23k SPS
  • Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals (Concord) 17-20k, 18-22k
