RIHANNA STREAMING: HOW THE TIDAL WASHES IN
With Rihanna's ANTI now in the marketplace, and claiming the #1 spot at iTunes (not to mention having given away 1 million albums in about half a day, according to the artist herself on Twitter), what's the streaming sitch?
Tidal, which currently has an exclusive on streaming of the album, says it scored some 13m streams in its first 14 hours. The album is not currently streamable on competing services in the U.S., including Apple Music (though it's reportedly streamable on Apple in the U.K.) and Spotify. It's currently unclear if Tidal is enjoying an exclusive window or if it will remain the only place to stream ANTI in its entirety. Single "Work" f/Drake, however, is in wide streaming release.
