iHeartRadio Music Festival Confirms Return;
First Names Revealed on Daytime Village Lineup

The star-studded iHeartRadio Music Festival is returning for a sixth year on 9/23 and 9/24 in Las Vegas, iHeartMedia announced today.

When the time comes, expect the event to broadcast live on their Top 40 stations across the country, including N.Y.'s Z100, L.A.'s KIIS, Miami's Y100 and more. An exclusive TV special will also air on The CW at a later date.

It was also confirmed that the Daytime Village venue (on 9/24 only) will return to the Las Vegas Village across from the Luxor Hotel. Sam Hunt and Alessia Cara are the first performers to be revealed from its lineup; more names will be announced shortly.

Tickets for the Daytime Village—starting at $39—went on sale today at 10am PT. Click here for more info.

Macy's iHeartRadio Rising Star talent search is also set to return for a fifth year. Starting in May, iHeartRadio listeners and Macy's shoppers will be able to cast votes for emerging artists. And just by voting, fans will be automatically entered for a chance to win a trip to Vegas for the whole shebang. The winner will perform as the opening act on the first night of the festival. More info on the competition will soon become available here.

We've been flooding the inboxes of iHeartMedia CEO Bob Pittman, programming chieftan Tom Poleman and prexy John Sykes with MP3s of us singing a cappella versions of songs from the Mariah Carey-led Glitter soundtrack, but have yet to hear back on our eligibility. We're pretty confident that we'll earn that opening slot though. See ya in Vegas, baby!
