ADELE RETURNS TO THE STAGE

Slays First Live Performance of

Adele had a triumphant return to the spotlight yesterday, for a live performance of her record-breaking smash "Hello" for a brand new BBC One special held in her honor, hosted by Graham Norton.

"This opportunity to spend an hour with Adele, her music and her stories is a truly rare treat. If I wasn't hosting this special I'd be sat at home watching it!" he said.

Jettisoning her traditional black clothing for a gorgeous jewel-toned green and gold dress, Adele sailed through the powerful vocals of "Hello" with a full orchestra backing her.

Afterwards the singer answered questions from the audience about her album, becoming a mother and interestingly, Twitter. Notably absent from social media, a fan wanted to know if Adele's management handled her tweets, which she happily replied, "this is true."

Always funny and raw, Adele admitted she's nearly made the same social gaffes as many stars before her.

"I'm not a drinker anymore, but when Twitter first came out, I was drunk-tweeting and nearly put my foot in it quite a few times, so my management decided you have to go through two people and then it has to be signed off by someone."

"But they are all my tweets, no one writes my tweets, they just post them for me."

When asked about making her return to music after a few years off the singer said, "I can't do anything else, this is all that I like doing."

The special Adele at the BBC will air on 11/20, the same day new album 25 drops.

Manager Jonathan Dickins (pictured) is feeling well chuffed, and not just because his star is no longer drunk-tweeting.
