Now it's official: Rani Hancock has been formally anointed as Head of A&R/EVP at Island Records, announced label chieftain David Massey. Hancock will also work with Safehouse, Island's JV with manager/exec Phil McIntyre.
Massey described Hancock as "a perfect fit for Island's label and culture," while the newly minted A&R Head (who served at RCA and Arista prior to joining Massey) declared herself "honored to join the amazing team." In addition to her other tasks, Hancock will be responsible for keeping Tove Lo's bong filled at all times.
