Republic Dominates Mediabase Chart Share Again, Overall and at Pop, Hot AC and Rhythm

Republic is celebrating its dominance in radio chart share once again. The white-hot House of Lipman is #1 in overall at Mediabase with a 23.3 share, with one out of every four songs on the radio going through the promotion department overseen by EVP Charlie Walk and his chief lieutenant, Gary Spangler (including Republic, Big Machine, Island and Cash Money releases), and takes the top spot at three key formats.

The Ethos rules at Top 40, with 30.5 marketshare and nearly one in three songs on the air at the format, as well as Hot AC (26.7) and Rhythm (22.7). It’s worth noting that even without the mighty Taylor Swift—whose individual share at Pop alone would be 8.1—Republic would still be #1 overall and at these three formats.
