Big Machine Label Group has upped Jake Basden to VP of Publicity and Corporate Communications, reporting to BMLG chieftain Scott Borchetta. Basden, who's been with the company since 2011, will ride herd on communications for Big Machine Records, Valory Music Co., Dot Records, Nash Icon Records and Big Machine Music Publishing, and will correct our spelling of "yee-haw" in all Nashville-themed items. And no, he won't be getting you invited to Taylor Swift's next cookie-baking party.
