YOUR RADIO CHART PREVIEW

What to Expect at Three Key Mediabase Formats

Buddy! You pumped for this long weekend? Yea, of course you are. See ya on the green! Before that, though, why don’t cha take a peek at our predictions for the future of a few major Mediabase formats.

TOP 40
Team Republic has succeeded in bringing "Jealous" by Island's Nick Jonas to #1 on the Mediabase Pop chart, and holding on to the #2 and #3 spots with Taylor Swift (Big Machine) and Ariana Grande f/The Weeknd. Another stellar achievement by Charlie Walk, Gary Spangler and team. Meanwhile, Sam Smith’s "I’m Not the Only One” (Capitol), Mark Ronson f/Bruno Mars’ "Uptown Funk" (RCA) and Hozier’s "Take Me to Church" (Columbia) all continue to be in the Greatest Gainer column, but there's just no where to go! Hollywood's Selena Gomez moves up with "The Heart Wants What It Wants," and Epic's Meghan Trainor joins the Top 10 with "Lips Are Movin." "Time of Our Lives," by RCA’s Pitbull f/Ne-Yo, makes the jump inside the Top 20. Motown's Ne-Yo joins the chart this week with "She Knows" f/Juicy J, as does RCA’s Kelly Clarkson does the same with "Heartbeat Song."

RHYTHM
We’ll have a new #1 this week, as Usher f/Juicy J’s "I Don't Mind" (RCA) climbs to the top. They also have Mark Ronson f/Bruno Mars’ "Uptown Funk" leaping to #6. Columbia's Beyonce makes her way into the Top 10 with "7/11." Back to RCA, Pitbull f/Ne-Yo’s "Time of Our Lives" will have a huge increase, as will Chris Brown & Tyga’s "Ayo." Meanwhile at Republic, Nicki Minaj f/Drake & Lil Wayne’s "Truffle Butter" and Natalie La Rose’s "Somebody" will also be up over 500 spins each.

ALTERNATIVE
In a real close battle for a new #1, we believe Cage The Elephant's "Cigarette Daydreams" (RCA; the band's pictured above) will edge out Arctic Monkeys’ "R U Mine?" (Domino) and take over the top spot next week. RCA will also get their third song in the Top 5 with Walk The Moon's "Shut Up And Dance." Epic's Modest Mouse enters the Top 10 with the super hot "Lampshades on Fire." And Nonesuch/Warner Bros.Black Keys is off and running with a big move to #27 with "Weight of Love." Republic's Milky Chance will also see a nice move, going #40-32 with "Flashed Junk Mind."
