VELOCITY PICKS UP SPEED: With NARM next month, UMGD boss Jim Urie, who will be honored with the org’s President’s Award, is seeing his new Velocity pricing plan get off to a good start on its first official release. Laura Bell Bundy’s Mercury Nashville debut, Achin’ & Shakin’ bowed on the HITS chart at #28. The Broadway-turned-country crooner performed on the ACMs and Good Morning America last week, and will appear on Jay Leno next Thursday (4/29).
