The Doors on PBS

THE DOORS ON PBS: Just a month after its theatrical and DVD release, The Doors’ documentary, When You’re Strange, will air on PBS as part of the public station’s American Masters series tomorrow night. The movie, written and directed by Tom DiCillo, with Johnny Depp narrating, is the first authorized feature documentary on the legendary band. The doc’s most amazing archival find is color 35mm footage from the never-before-seen 1969 feature, HWY: An American Pastoral, financed by Jim Morrison himself. When You’re Strange airs tomorrow night (5/12) at 9 p.m. (5/11p)
