Farrell on his Lolla inspiration

LOLLA-POP: Interviewed in the N.Y. Times, Perry Farrell spun a fanciful tale about the origin of the idea for Lollapalooza: “I always remember the concept of what a lollapalooza actually is: it’s this giant swirling lollipop. When I was a kid I went to Coney Island, and I was able to get one of those things, man, and eat the whole thing. So to me, you can continue to swirl.” (8/11a)
