Madonna opens branded gyms

MADGE & GUY WILL PUMP YOU UP: Madonna and manager Guy Oseary will partner with New Evolution Ventures, a “fitness and entertainment” company in Lafayette, CA, to launch a chain of Hard Candy Fitness centers in various countries including Russia, Brazil and Argentina, as well as locations in Europe and Asia. Along with the standard classes, bike studio and juice bar, the centers will house a mind/body studio and “lavish locker rooms built with the finest materials,” according to the press release. The first Hard Candy Fitness location will be in Mexico City; Madge plans to be present for the official opening on Nov. 29. (10/27a)
