Facebook Enters E-Mail Game
YOU’VE GOT FACEBOOK MAIL: Facebook billionaire Mark Zuckerberg unveiled his “next-generation messaging system” yesterday, while denying he's taking dead aim on e-mail giants AOL, Yahoo, Hotmail and Google. The system will be launched over the next few months on an invite-only basis, eventually allowing Facebook’s 500 million users to merge their instant messages, SMS text messages and e-mail into a seamless “conversation” on a single platform. Users can even opt for an @facebook e-mail address. "We don't expect people to wake up tomorrow and say I am going to shut down my Yahoo account or Gmail account and switch exclusively to Facebook," said Zuckerberg. Sure, Mark.
