New West Ups Ruthig
NEW NEW WEST: With the departure of New West Records founder Cameron Strang to Warner/ Chappell Music Publishing (see full story here), Michael Ruthig has been promoted to GM of the label, and will now take over daily operations responsibilities, while Katelyn Craig will now oversee New West Independent Music Publishing. Previous to joining New West in 2007, Ruthig was Sr. Director of Catalog Marketing at EMI, where he also spent time in the publicity department. Prior to EMI, Michael worked at both Clear Channel and Live Nation in tour PR. Katelyn will now oversee all creative and administrative services for artists signed to the label’s in-house pubbery, while continuing to secure Film and Television placement for all label artists.
