Return of the Feelies

CRAZY FEELIES: Legendary Haledon, NJ, post-punk band The Feelies will release their first new studio album in 19 years this March on Bar/None Records. The album was recorded at Water Music in Hoboken, NJ, produced by band founders Glenn Mercer and Bill Million, with longtime members bassist Brenda Sauter, drummer Stanley Demeski and percussionist Dave Weckerman. The Feelies re-united in 2008 to open for admirers Sonic Youth at Brooklyn's Battery Park and then resurrected their tradition of playing low-key gigs around national holidays (many at their old home base, Maxwell’s). Bar/None re-issued Crazy Rhythms and The Good Earth in 2009, at which time they also introduced new songs written by Mercer and Million, raising fans’ hopes for a new album eventually materializing.
