Fontana Taps Arceneaux

FONTANA SAYS HEY RAY: Veteran exec Ray Arceneaux Jr. has joined Fontana as Director of Marketing, reporting to SVP Marketing and Label Ops Bryan Mead. Arceneaux will oversee many areas of the distributor’s urban music business, including sales planning with retail, artist product management, and acting as the label manager for such indies as Strange Music, Hoo Bangin, Mad Science and Melee, among others. Most recently VP Urban Sales and Marketing at WEA, Arceneaux also held posts at Priority/Capitol and PolyGram Group Distribution, beginning his career at Handleman and the Wherehouse. He has no idea what Hoo Bangin means. (4/4p)
