LL Cool J top host Grammys

SEVEN YEARS IS LONG ENOUGH for the Grammys to go without a host, the Recording Academy and CBS apparently agreed—and if the network can get some cross-promotion out of it, so much the better. This morning, the Academy announced that NCIS Los Angeles co-leading man LL Cool J will host the Feb. 12 show. "I'm thrilled to be part of Music's Biggest Night," said LL, who knows the lingo, having hosted the Grammy noms show since its inception in 2008. “I will always have fond memories of my first Grammy Awards, and to now be hosting the Grammy show, in the company of so many other incredible artists, is a dream come true. Great performances and great music—it's gonna be a great night!" The last person to host the telecast was Queen Latifah in 2005. (1/18a)
