Brantley Gilbert on the Rise

THEIR KINDA PARTY: The heat's on country singer/songwriter Brantley Gilbert, managed by Hard 8’s Rich Egan, who received an ACM nom yesterday for Best New Artist. His new single, “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do,” is off to a faster start than the chart-topping “Country Must Be Countrywide,” from his sophomore, gold-certified Halfway to Heaven on Scott Borchetta’s Big Machine Records division Valory Music Group. Gilbert wrote the title track for Jason Aldean’s Grammy-nominated My Kinda Party and co-wrote (with Colt Ford) “Dirt Road Anthem,” nominated for Best Country Solo Performance. Gilbert’s now opening for Eric Church on a sold-out arena tour, and will support Toby Keith this summer. (2/10p)
