Of Monsters and Men Storm the Charts

MONSTER HIT: Universal Republic group Of Monsters and Men, who have been dubbed “Iceland’s answer to Mumford & Sons,” is heading to a sensational #6 debut on tomorrow’s HITS Album Chart with approximately 55k sold of their debut, My Head is an Animal. Clear Channel WRFF Philadelphia PD John Allers has been in the forefront of breaking this band and championing them as a major awards contender with their Top 10 Alternative and Triple A smash, “Little Talks.” Allers was the first person to play the band in the U.S. well before anyone had even heard of them here after being turned on by a friend who was vacationing in Iceland. In a tweet from Allers this weekend, he has upped the ante even further, floating them as a Grammy contender. We concur… Tweet from @allersjohn….. Can not stop listening to @MonstersAndMen #MyHeadIsAnAnimal... so good #ThisIsGrammyWorthy (4/9p)
