UNIVERSAL ACCLAIM: Universal Music Publishing Group was the big winner at last night’s 60th annual BMI Pop Awards, held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, with 10 songs among the year’s most performed. The company claimed the prestigious BMG Pop Publisher of the Year crystal, which took in $75 on eBay. Among the UMPG winners were Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep,” Enrique Iglesias’ Lauren Christy-penned “Tonight (I’m Loving You),” Daughtry’s “September” and Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass,” co-written by the pubbery’s new signing Ester Dean, who won Songwriter of the Year honors from the org.
