Sony Plays Ball

HARD BALLERS PLAY SOFTBALL: Columbia Records held its 5th Annual Softball Tournament in Central Park in sweltering heat, with the label splitting into six teams. Unfortunately, four of those teams were playing cricket. Columbia Chairman/CEO Rob Stringer and Chairman/COO Steve Barnett, neither of whom would know a baseball bat from a sticky wicket, present the victors of the competition, the Purple Team, led by label SVP Marketing Doneen Lombardi, with the award, which went to the team that stepped in the least dog poop.
