YOUR BLAH WEAKEND BOX OFFICE: On a weekend when the only two noteworthy debuts tanked, the biggest news was that the Right Wing propaganda film 2016 Obama's America cracked the Top 10 seven weeks after it opened. Distributor Rocky Mountain moved the movie into 1,091 theaters this weekend (up 922 screens from a week ago), resulting in an estimated take of $6.2 million, putting it at #8 and making the top-grossing conservative documentary of all time. Of the newcomers, Premium Rush, a bike-messenger thriller starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, barely topped the anti-Obama flick with $6.3 million, while the caper film Hit and Run barely made the leaderboard with just $4.7 million. The four top earners were unchanged from last weekend: the “geriaction” movie (as Trakin put it) The Expendables 2 on top with a meager $13.5 million, followed by The Bourne Legacy ($9.3 million), ParaNorman ($8.5 million) and The Campaign ($7.4 million).
