A&M 50th collection out today

LET’S HEAR IT FOR THE AMPERSAND: To celebrate the 50th anniversary of A&M Records, UMe has just released The Anniversary Collection, a 60-track three-CD set of music personally curated by Herb Alpert & Jerry Moss, serving as a soundtrack to the legendary indie label. Additionally, Alpert & Moss—whose names will always be connected by that ampersand—will be honored by The Grammy Museum, which is cooking up a special "Icons of the Music Industry" event for Monday, Oct. 1. The evening's program will feature a Q&A with Herb and Jerry conducted by the museum's Executive Director, Bob Santelli. Ticket info and more details will be available shortly on www.grammymuseum.org. (8/28a)
