Sony Music Taps Frankenberg

SONY TAPS RED DIGITAL EXEC: Chris Frankenberg has been named VP Business Operations, Global Digital Business, for Sony Music Entertainment by EVP Global Digital Business Michael Paull, to whom he'll report. Frankenberg comes to SME from RED, where he was VP of Digital Strategy, overseeing its digital music business, including account sales and marketing, production and operations. Before that, he held a number of posts at Sony BMG focused on the mobile music business, including VP Mobile Sales, Associate Director of Label Relations and Mobile Content Manager. In his new role, he will work with global business groups across SME to debvelop, implement and manage efficient operating processes for current and future digital media products, while emptying change from the office vending machines. He originally joined Sony Music in 2002 as Coordinator of Paid Artist Communities, running the subscription fan clubs for Bow Wow and Shakira. (9/5p)
