Top 10 tracks

TOP 10 TRACKS OF THE WEEK: Overall, the Top 10 was a bit down in the week ending Sept. 2, not surprising for this time of year. The exceptions were Taylor Swift’s latest, which continues its force-of-nature run, losing only 11% in week three, passing 1m and selling 60k more than Maroon 5’s #2 track, while Phillip Phillips and Neon Trees were actually up from the previous week. And Fun. is steaming toward a second straight smash with the title song from Some Nights.

1. Taylor Swift, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” – 253k
2. Maroon 5, “One More Night” – 193k
3. Fun., “Some Nights” – 163k
4. Flo Rida, “Whistle” – 161k
5. Owl City & Carly Rae Jepsen, “Good Time” – 125k
6. Phillip Phillips, “Home” – 116k
7. Justin Bieber f/Big Sean, “As Long As You Love Me” – 115k
8. Neon Trees, “Everybody Talks” – 102k
9. Cher Lloyd, “Want U Back” – 101k
10. Carly Rae Jepsen, “Call Me Maybe” – 98k

As “Call Me Maybe” slips to #10, it looks like we’re seeing the last of the consensus Song of the Summer on the singles sales leaderboard. But don’t cry for Carly Rae, whose breakthrough smash has sold 5.5m, second only to the 6.6m moved by Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used to Know” on the year. Don’t be surprised if it joins the big guns in the coming weeks. (9/6a)
