Green Day's Aftermath

GREEN DAZED: Green Day front man Billie Joe Armstrong’s iHeartRadio Music Festival temper tantrum has been quickly shoved off the music news pages by the Lyor Cohen departure. Still, it has left skeptics wondering what effect his meltdown will have on Warner Bros.’ very aggressive and adventurous radio promo plan for the first single, “Oh Love,” from Uno, the first of three albums from the band, which came out today. That track was an attempt to cross the band over to Top 40, with, so far, negligible results. Will we see a momentum shift upon the release of the second single, the now-ironically named “Let Yourself Go,” a more “traditional”-sounding Green Day record? (9/25p)
