Top 10 tracks

TOP 10 TRACKS OF THE WEEK: Taylor Swift is like the Vietcong—attacking the singles sales chart in waves, with multiple tracks from the upcoming Red (Big Machine, 10/22). But not even the mighty Taylor could stop One Direction from charging to the top of this week’s leaderboard with the lead single from the boy band’s sophomore effort (Syco/Columbia, 11/13), although her newly available “Red” did outsell Adele’s debuting “Skyfall.” Both 1D and Swift easily cleared 300k, while Adele and PSY broke 200k in a brisk sales week.

1. One Direction, “Live While We're Young" – 341k
2. Taylor Swift, “Red” – 312k
3. Adele, “Skyfall” – 261k
4. PSY, “Gangnam Style” – 257k
5. Maroon 5, “One More Night” – 167k
6. Taylor Swift, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” – 149k
7. Ke$ha, “Die Young” – 138k
8. Fun., “Some Nights” – 129k
9. Rihanna, “Diamonds” – 108k
10. Alex Clare, “Too Close” – 102k

Just missing the Top 10 was Bruno Mars’ latest, while a third Taylor entry, “Born Again,” dropped to #12 after debuting at #1 a week ago. (10/11a)
