Pitch's Perfect Set-Up

PERFECT SET-UP: UMe’s Pitch Perfect soundtrack is currently sitting at #2 on iTunes, a nice achievement for Bruce Resnikoff’s team for the sleeper movie hit, which has been re-ignited thanks to its recent release on DVD and on demand. The album has sold 252k of the standard edition and 67k of the deluxe, including 222k digitally and 43k physically, respectively. The film and the soundtrack were originally released last September, while the deluxe editions came out in December with the DVD , Target getting the physical exclusive and iTunes the digital one. It’s the third biggest-selling soundtrack of the last 12 months. The movie was a surprise critical and commercial hit, but this is one of the few soundtracks to perform better after its DVD release than it did upon its initial theatrical run. (1/18p)
