Metallica Strikes Up the Vans

SHOES FOR INDUSTRY: Metallica and Vans have struck a creative partnership to introduce a four-piece signature sneaker collection designed by each band member to be delivered to stores later this month. James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo had free reign to choose any of the company’s shoe styles and make them their own. Each shoe is accompanied by a video capturing the shared passions between the band members and their favorite Vans team riders. The first edition highlights the “Trujillo Trio,” the result of Robert’s introduction to Vans’ skater Tony Trujillo and their subsequent musical collaboration.
