Mayer streaming

MORE WADING IN THE STREAM: Paradise Valley, the new album by Columbia's John Mayer, is available for streaming and pre-order at the iTunes Store through its 8/20 release, via this link. Don Was, who helmed the Grammy winner's 2012 release, Born & Raised, produced the set. Mayer will perform a "Live on Letterman" webcast concert on 8/19 (which will viewable live or on demand via cbs.com and VEVO), and will appear on Letterman's broadcast to perform lead single "Wildfire." His U.S. tour continues through October, then goes global. $1 from each ticket on the American leg will go to raise funds and awareness for veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. It's worth noting that streaming has proved a significant factor in the success of this week's #1 album from sensibility/Columbia's The Civil Wars. (8/13a)
