P!nk Australasian tour stats

IN THE P!NK DOWN UNDER: Pardon the suggestive tone of the heading (damn, we just did it again). We simply wanted to point out some impressive stats from P!nk’s just-completed The Truth About Love Australian tour, made available (for reasons that will soon be obvious) by Live Nation. The RCA superstar racked up 46 sellouts in front of 600k+ fans, including a record 18 shows at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena, accounting for 250k of that total. Her eight shows at the Sydney Entertainment Centre broke the venue’s record for most performances by a female, previously held by Aussie native Kylie Minogue. Her four subsequent dates at Sydney’s Allphones Arena broke that hall’s record for most tickets sales by a solo artist with 67k+, breaking the record held by Britney Spears’ 2009 The Circus tour. Additionally, P!nk now holds the record for the top four attended events at Perth Arena, as well as the record for the most performances by any act and tour, while she drew nearly 100k to eight sellouts at Brisbane Entertainment Centre. In classic synergistic fashion, the excitement generated by the tour powered The Truth About Love back to #1 spot for a 10th week, which happened to be 51 weeks after release.
