Katy's PRISMATIC tour

"ROAR" OF THE CROWD: Katy Perry has announced that her North American PRISMATIC WORLD TOUR will begin on 6/22 in Raleigh, North Carolina. The 46-city, Goldenvoice-presented trek, featuring guests Capital Cities, Kacey Musgraves and Tegan and Sara, is set to conclude on 10/10 in Texas; for a complete schedule go here. Citi and Covergirl are corporate partners, with Tickets-for-Charity offering the best seats to raise funds for worthy causes and $1 from each ticket going to UNICEF. Known as a gifted multitasker, Perry designed the unique stage, which will reportedly bring her closer to fans than ever. A quote from Perry promises a "colorful show" (which will no doubt disappoint those hoping for a monochromatic evening) and praises her support acts: "I'm so excited that I got to hand-select some of my favorite artists to join me on this journey." 2014 has started with a bang for the Capitol Pop diva: Her PRISM album went platinum last week, her single "Dark Horse" is exploding at retail and radio, and (as we note in an item below) her earlier smash, "Roar," has been selected for NBC's Winter Olympics TV campaign.
