Pulse and Fujipacific

CHECKING THEIR PULSE: Pulse Recording and Fujipacific Music (West) have announced a partnership to form Pulse Music Publishing. Fujipacific, a division of Japan's largest independent music publishing company, has the ability to provide Pulse with a multi-million dollar capital fund for the further expansion of their roster of established artists, songwriters and producers, along with the growth of the publishing, management and music services company as a whole. Pulse co-CEO Scott Cutler commented, "I have always admired the business model that Fujipacific and Windswept created when they combined forces years ago, and we wanted the next phase of Pulse to be built around that same model. Now, who wants sushi?" (5/13p)
