ESPRIT DE CORPS: Capitol Music Group head coach Steve Barnett hosted the company’s second annual Capitol Congress today at the Hollywood ArcLight, during which the label’s domestic and international teams were presented with CMG’s priorities for the coming months amid a spirited celebration of the company’s astonishing revitalization during the last 18 months. In this pic, shot during the morning session by Lester Cohen (as always), Barnett, UMG Int’l head Max Hole, Universal U.K. chief David Joseph and Capitol U.K. prexy Nick Raphael present a plaque to Sam Smith to commemorate his selling more copies of his debut album than any other debut by a U.K. male artist in recorded history.
