THE COUNTDOWN TO THE COUNTDOWN: VH1 is giving its venerable Top 20 Video Countdown a makeover. The Saturday mainstay moves into a new studio starting at 9am tomorrow (7/26); veteran VJ/emcee Jim Shearer (pictured) will welcome bands, comedians and music yakkers, and toss to new segments (including a viewer's choice top video, top downloaded/viral tracks and more) and correspondents. The Lee Rolontz/Jeff Baumgardner-exec-produced show, produced by Anthony Beltempo for VH1, promises a greater emphasis than ever on music news, context and data—followed by a word from the acne medication that not only tames your zits but leaves your skin feeling fresh and revitalized!
