NEW DYLAN VIDEO HITS WEB

“Beyond Here Lies Nothin’” Debuts on Amazon.Com, With Together Through Life Album Streeting April 28
Bob Dylan’s new Columbia album, Together Through Life, hits the streets a week from today (4/28), but there’s already been substantial buzz about the release.

The video of the opening track from the album, “Beyond Here Lies Nothin’,” is now being streamed on Amazon.com through tomorrow, when it’ll move to Dylan’s own website here.

Dylan’s not actually in the video, which, like the album cover, employs the raw black-and-white photographs of Bruce Davidson’s 1959 “Brooklyn Gang” series to create a montage for the music.

Davidson originally met a group of Brooklyn teens who called themselves “The Jokers,” and spent the summer shooting them in a variety of their local hangouts, from street corners to Coney Island.

Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter co-wrote the words to nine of the 10 tracks with Dylan. Fans got a sneak preview of the album at this past weekend’s Record Store Day.

In other Dylan news, the Daily News' David Hinckley reports that Bob's celebrated Sirius XM broadcast, Theme Time Radio Hour, may well be over after 100 episodes. Dylan signed off his latest show with Woody Guthrie's "So Long, It's Been Good to Know Yuh" after a program whose common element was "goodbye." Cadillac, a sponsor of the show, pulled out recently, amid major cutbacks at the merged satellite radio company.
