In an effort to continue its music industry onslaught, BMG Entertainment Thursday (11/16) named its partners for a forthcoming syndication service that will deliver music videos over the Internet.

BMG will use the FreeFlow Streaming service from content-delivery company Akamai Technologies, to provide music-video files to its network of media and entertainment Web sites, while Virage will provide its SmartEncode services, Syndication Manager software and application hosting.

BMG plans to begin providing the video service to its syndication partners later this year. About 1,000 videos will be available at the launch.

Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.
