ROUGH RYDE FOR RAP TOUR

Dates Canceled In Wake Of Backstage Violence
The scene backstage at Boston's FleetCenter Monday night (4/3) resembled a scene from the upcoming film "Gladiators," except the blood was real, as numerous victims were stabbed and one was struck by a marble bench—ouch.

In the wake of the backstage brouhaha, which sent six victims to the emergency room, two upcoming dates of the Ruff Ryders/Cash Money tour have been put on hold indefinitely.

Interscope Records, home to the Ruff Ryder label, confirmed that last night's show in Tampa and tonight's scheduled Miami tour stop have been canceled.

While spokesmen associated with the tour remain mum, speculators are speculating that the violence that has plagued the tour since its kickoff played a part in the cancellations.

The Ruff Ryders/Cash Money tour has eight dates remaining on an itinerary that kicked off in late February. Still scheduled are stops in Charlotte, Atlanta, Little Rock, Seattle, Sacramento, Irvine and Phoenix.

So much for the spirit of detente in the hip-hop wars. Better bring your body armor if you're planning to attend.
