In typical Internet fashion, Liquid Audio Inc. reported increases in both revenues and year-over-year losses for the first quarter of 2000. During the quarter, Liquid entered into strategic partnerships with America Online, Microsoft, Sony Electronics, BMG Entertainment and IBM.
Liquid reported net revenues at $3 million, up from $1.3 million in the fourth quarter of 1999 and from $531,000 a year ago.
The Internet music provider posted a net loss of $6.5 million, down from a net loss of $8.2 million in the fourth quarter 1999 but up from a net loss of $4.1 million a year ago.
Liquid shares closed up 2.6% Monday (4/17) at $12.31.
