MAFFEI NAMED NON-EXEC CHAIRMAN OF LIVE NATION BOARD

Liberty Media Chief Hailed for "Experience and Business Acumen"
Liberty Media President/CEO Greg Maffei has been tapped as non-executive Chairman of the Board of Live Nation.

Maffei has served as Liberty Media CEO since 2006 and President/CEO of Liberty Interactive since 2007. He previously held exec posts at Oracle, 360networks and Microsoft, among other places.

"Greg brings years of experience and business acumen that will continue to be a vluable asset as our team executes on the three-year plan, driving profitability and shareholder value," reads a quote from Live Nation President/CEO Michael Rapino.

Said Maffei, "Michael and his team have made Live Nation the most pervasive brand in live entertainment. I look forward to further collaboration with Michael and my fellow board members. I also look forward to seeing this in Billboard, the most respected and--what? This is running where? Huh."
