NOT SO SILENT HOLLOW MEN
8/21/20

Swedish singer/songwriter Dennis Sjöström, a.k.a. The Hollow Men, has dropped his first single of 2020, “Silence.”

Released via alexrainbirdRecords, Sjöström says, “[“Silence” is] a very special song that means a lot to me, since it’s all made by me. All [of the] instruments are played, written and produced [by me].” Inspired by his life experiences, the three-minute and 30-second track addresses loneliness, feeling lost and searching for a meaning in life.

Influenced by artists such as Passenger and Ben Howard, The Hollow Men first started releasing music in 2015 as a duo and released their debut EP, Carry On, in 2016. Since then, Sjöström has gone solo and released tracks like “You,” “City Lights,” “Speak” and “It’s Alright.” With over 2m combined streams, Sjöström has been able to find his own sound.

THE PLAYLISTSUPPLY
8/20/20

The latest playlisting tool in the market has officially arrived. Created by Benjamin Stein, Playlistsupply is a new promotional tool that allows people to research playlists with speed and ease.

Delivered with complex algorithms, users are connected with independent and third-party playlists across all DSPs with the click of a button.

“I am a veteran artist manager and creative director first and foremost. After seeing many other managers struggle with playlisting, I created an automated tool for playlist research. I wanted to make the process more accessible to myself, my friends and indie artists who may not have a team, label or budget,” says Stein.

An advanced playlist analysis and keyword search is implemented into the tool, enabling users to find playlists more efficiently. Since its launch, Playlistsupply has secured clients from a variety of management companies and major labels.
