WHAT IT IS: Born and raised in Columbia, Md., rapper Tre’ Amani found his passion for music from listening to his single mother of three serenade the household with classic songs throughout his childhood. Encouraging self-expression and the importance of individuality, Tre’ has been dedicated to his craft since the age of 16. He co-founded the Civilized Human Beings collective alongside Brent Faiyaz back in high school, and the pair recently linked up for “ADDICTIONS” off Faiyaz’s WASTELAND. With the release of his six-track EP $hook, which features “lo$t Kid.” w/Rodney Hollywood, the budding rapper continues his rapid growth.
