WHAT IT IS: Chicago native Alexander Glantz is the creative force behind Alexander 23. Since making his debut in 2019 with “Dirty AF1s” and his introductory EP, I’m Sorry I Love You, Alexander has toured with Alec Benjaminand Omar Apollo, made his Lollapalooza debut and dropped the now-gold single “IDK You Yet.” The self-written and -produced track landed on Spotify’s Today’s Top Hits and accumulated over 300m streams on that platform alone. In 2021, he sold out his first headlining tour and earned a Grammy nom for his co-production on breakout star Olivia Rodrigo’s “good 4 u.” Alexander’s debut LP, co-produced by Dan Nigro, is slated to arrive in the spring; lead single “Hate Me If It Helps”—co-written with Nigro and Rodrigo—will drop on 2/11.
