WHAT IT IS: On the same day replacing a dead car battery drained her bank account, Lily Rose began to turn heads with her now-viral 2020 hit, “Villain.” After spending 13 years honing her craft, she gained massive traction as her independently released single stole the #1 spot on iTunes from Taylor Swift and quickly became gold-certified. The Georgia native is up for several new-artist initiatives this year with Amazon Music and CMT, and she earned multi-genre support for her GLAAD Outstanding Breakthrough Artist nomination. Rose booked herself up and down the East Coast during college, and she’s returning to those markets with more shows on bigger stages.
