TheHxliday (Motown)
11/11/21

WHAT IT IS: Equal parts introspective and inspiring, 19-year-old TheHxliday—born Noah Malik Lee—combines rock, pop, hip-hop and R&B in his genre-transcending sound. At 13, he was introduced to GarageBand by his mom, who was in alt-rock band Chick Flick, and he quickly learned how to loop beats. After gaining attention as part of the industry-shifting SoundCloud DIY rap class of the mid-2010s, the rising Baltimore star dropped “Enemy” in 2018, leading him to Motown as well as the Lyrical Lemonade video crew in Chicago. Teaming up with 12AM and Polo G for recent releases “Voices” and “Wit Dat,” respectively, and dropping his EP, The Most Beautiful Disaster, earlier this year, the up-and-comer is making a statement with his latest single, “Doses.”
