half•alive (RCA)
2/22/19

WHAT IT IS: The music of half•alive breathes, evolves, grows and changes alongside the lives of the Long Beach trio—Josh Taylor (vocals), Brett Kramer (drums) and J Tyler Johnson (bass). Under a glow of disco-ball bliss, their sound encompasses R&B, funk, pop, rock, soul and more. half•alive came to life on the 2017 3 EP, which sparked a palpable buzz. They then crafted what became their 2018 breakout, “still feel.”—the video for which organically surpassed the 10m mark within two months. “still feel.” took off, and the band’s profile burgeoned. They kicked off this year with a bang, selling out their formal debut headline tour, and have emerged as one of the most viral new bands of 2019.
